drunkard help plz
im having trouble understanding the most efficient way of going about the drunkard title. i have ~350 decayed orr emblems atm,(can farm way more before halloween starts) and i was curious as to what i should get from the collector. he offers absinthe and witched brew, but the definition on wiki just confused me. if ne1 could lend me some insight, it would be really helpful. thanks

Absinthe and witch's brew both count as alcohol as they say "potency" on the page, meaning that potency level 1 gets you drunker by one level. Level 5 potency like aged dwarven ale gets you drunker by five levels (which is max). The most efficient way of going for drunkard is to sit in front of your computer screen and click on a new ale every minute for 1000 or 10,000 minutes. Since that isn't going to happen and it is illegal to use a third party program to do it for you, you should break it down into manageable sizes, I do about 30 minutes at a time before I get to bored. There used to be a glitch where you could do this in a MUCH shorter amount of time, but I don't know if that has been fixed. But what you did was get to level five drunk, zone to your guild hall after about twenty seconds, wait twenty seconds, and zone back and you would get three minutes to your drunkard title. That cut the time down by a third, but is 66% more expensive on an already expensive title (minimum 2,000,400 gold title if you use a bot to drink the ale for you for 10,000 minutes straight).

Absinthe & Witch's Brew give the same level (one) of Drunkeness, but have different visual effects.
I don't have desire to go through all of the experimenting to figure out the zoning trick that can cut down the time spent working on the title, so I'm doing it the slow way, in my spare time. There are 5 levels of drunkeness (why wiki counts "sober" as a sixth level is beyond me). What counts for one minute towards the title is going from: level 5 to level 4, level 4 to level 3, and level 3 to level 2. (you get nothing for going from level 2 to 1 to 0) The most economical way of getting the title is to get drunk and stay drunk for extended periods of time, that way you're not spending the extra ales on getting up to at least level 3 each time. I usually start my drinking binges with a spiked Egg-nog (available Wintersday), which gets one to level 5 drunkeness and then every minute drinking an ale. I use the drunkard title procession bar as a timer. I normally do this while I'm in town trying to sell my wares and normally go for 30 - 60 minutes at a time. Wetsparks' price is based on buying dwarven ale at 200g each from a merchant. You can cut your costs in half (or even more) buy buying tradable items from other players - Imperial commendations and the like. |
